When the two arrive at the house, they challenge Boyfriend to a sing-off for Girlfriend as their "treat" if they win. Skid and Pump were passing by when Monster tricks them to into retrieving Girlfriend for him. On Halloween night, Boyfriend is invited over to Girlfriend's family home to give out candy to trick-or-treaters. Boyfriend wins, and with this victory, he is finally "accepted" into the family. Instead of going through with the job, he decides to spare him, but not before having a rap battle.īoyfriend has a rather dangerous sing-off with Girlfriend's popstar mother, Mommy Mearest, on top of moving limousines surrounded by Henchmen that act as backup dancers. Once Pico arrives at the specified destination, he recognizes Boyfriend and realizes he is his target.
However, Pico is only given a location for his target which happens to be on the rooftop of the Newgrounds office building. Unaccepting of his loss, Daddy Dearest hires a contract killer, Pico, to kill Boyfriend. Boyfriend emerges victorious, but it was made clear that Daddy Dearest will be keeping a close eye on them. After some warm-up training with Girlfriend, Boyfriend has a sing-off with Daddy Dearest, Girlfriend's father, to decide whether or not he is worthy to date his love interest. Years later, Boyfriend drops out of college to pursue a rap career and later meets and falls in love with Girlfriend.īoyfriend wants to date Girlfriend, but her family does not welcome him. Many other people who have crossed Daddy Dearest are suggested to have suffered similar fates.ĭaddy Dearest retires from being a rockstar.īoyfriend and Pico are shown to be a couple in Pico's School: Love Conquers All, but they break up sometime after the events of Pico's School. Who he was or what his relation to Daddy Dearest was remains unknown. That person would come to be known as Spirit. Īccording to a piece of art drawn by PhantomArcade, 14 years prior to the events of the game, Daddy Dearest seals away a person inside of Girlfriend's favorite dating sim video game. You know you want to play it! So go download Bomb Chicken right now! This is a game about a chicken that lays bombs instead of eggs. Yes, the game can be hard but the humor and the oddball concept will keep you playing. First and foremost, its gameplay is fun and thats what you want most out of a puzzle platformer.īomb Chicken is a really fun puzzle platformer. I like the game’s sound effects even better though! The bomb sound effects and the sound the chicken makes he dies are big standouts. Speaking of variety, there isn’t much variety when it comes to the music in Bomb Chicken. I do wish there was more variety to the background of each level, but overall, I’d say Bomb Chicken was a great looking game. You do feel like you are playing a cartoon! I also like how each level is designed, with interesting enemy placements, traps, and other stuff. From the enemies to the bomb chicken himself, its all really well done. I love the animation work in Bomb Chicken. If you like puzzle platformers at all, you’ll want to check this game out. Bomb Chicken has excellent controls and they are pretty easy to learn. Thankfully, you will never die because the game’s controls are awful. So yes, you’ll die a lot in this game, but you’ll have fun while you die. It can’t and doesn’t take itself seriously. Even the game over screen has a cooked chicken on screen that’ll make you laugh. The way the chicken dies in this game is funny and the ways that enemies die is also funny.

Even so, it remains fun and full of humor. Each level has its challenges and the game gets harder as you go. The bombs in this game are used in creative and very crazy ways. So how good is Bomb Chicken’s gameplay?īomb Chicken a really good puzzle platformer. What they are known for, however, is their gameplay. Puzzle platformers, platformers in general really, are not known for their stories. There isn’t much of a story to Bomb Chicken but that shouldn’t be a surprise: this game is a puzzle platformer afterall. We’ll find out whether or not I recommend this game! And now my review is done and we can finally find out: which came first the bomb or the chicken? Wait. Thanks to a freak accident, a chicken suddenly doesn’t lay eggs anymore…he lays bombs! Bomb Chicken for the Nintendo Switch is an odd game.
